I’m excited to introduce to you our newest style Lil’ Bug! This is our first ever just-for-kids design and it is just adorable. What I love about Lil Bug is that it’s bright and colorful and perfect for bug-themed birthday parties and baby showers. Today I’d like to share with you a classic bug-themed treat, homemade Dirt Cups in a jar. This is a simple recipe that is fun to put together and makes a great activity to do with a child.
Dirt Cups
Makes 10 servings
• 1 package Jell-o Chocolate Instant Pudding
• 2 cups cold milk
• 1 tub (8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
• 15 Oreo Cookies, finely crushed (about 1 1/4 cups)
• 10 gummy worms
For Serving:
• 10 small jars
• Spoons
• Lil’ Bug favor tags and labels
• Ribbon
Combine pudding mix and milk in a large bowl and whisk together, about two minutes. Set aside. Crush up your Oreo cookies until they resemble a crumbly dirt. Stir together pudding, cool whip, and half of the cookie crumbs until combined.
Add a bottom layer of cookie crumbs to each jar, then spoon in the pudding mixture leaving some room at the top. Top with more cookie crumbs. Refrigerate 1 hour. Top with one or two gummy worms before serving.
I decorated my jars with blue Lil’ Bug favor tags and labels.
Recipe adapted from Kraft Foods.

This is SUCH a cute idea for a kids party!
I’m a fan of any recipe that uses crushed Oreos. I went as far as to scoop out a place in my yard where I set up the party table. xP If the dirt in your yard is a bit lighter you might want to add a Golden Oreo for ever three normal ones.
