Easter Basket Favors

A fun Easter craft for all ages!

In my opinion, holidays are the best excuse to get crafty. I love making little gifts or favors for each and every holiday. With Easter just a few weeks away, I thought I’d share with you this fun idea: Easter Basket Favors. I’m making mine for friends and coworkers, but this is a gift anyone will enjoy and a great project to do with kids!

Supplies Needed:
• Small party cups or dixie cups (I found mine at the Dollar Store)
• Your favorite Easter candy (I chose mini robin’s eggs)
• Green tissue paper
• Pipe cleaners
• A custom label
• Permanent Markers
• Scissors

To make these favor baskets I first decorated my yellow party cups with a custom label that reads, “Happy Easter, Love Rachel”. I also drew flowers and hearts around the label with permanent markers for added decoration. Next, I took green tissue paper and cut it into a fringe to make grass. I put it around inside of the cup, so that it the ‘grass’ came popping out (you can use scotch tape to secure it if you want). Next I added a yellow pipe cleaner for the basket handle. With my miniature baskets completed, I filled them up with candy.

If you’re hosting an Easter party or family get-together, place one Easter Basket Favor at each place-setting. Or if you know there will be children, set up a craft table with everything they need to make their own!

    Hello Rachel…

Love the Easter baskets using cups…How did you get the pipe cleaners to hold? Hot glue?

  2. Hi Michelle- I used a piece of tape to secure the pipe cleaners to the inside. I’m sure hot glue would also work. You could try poking a hole in the cup and feeding the end of the pipe cleaner through the hole as well. Happy crafting!
