Kissing Bells

The long honored tradition of kissing bells just got a country charm makeover. It’s been said that the sound of a tiny bell ringing would drive the devil away. In his absence a newly wedded couple should kiss and rejoice. These cowbells sure did the trick! My younger cousin, Tommy, recently married his high school sweetheart in a down home, country style wedding. They found a quaint little farm house, complete with horse pastures and hay bails. The bride and her maids kicked around in their cowboy boots, and the men sported camouflage bow ties. I made these bells to place at each reception table. Simple, charming and fun! I picked up the bells at Micheal’s craft store, added a little ribbon and a personalized label with instructions for the guests. I can’t begin to tell you how much fun everyone had with them.
