| Ready-for-Jars Cookie Frosting |
Mix powdered sugar and the water, stirring until smooth. If needed, add more water by 1/2 teaspoons until just thin enough to be stirrable (it will thin further as flavorings and food color are added). Add a few drops of vanilla, almond, lemon or peppermint extract if desired. This frosting will keep up to a month in a jar in a cool place. Stir before using. Pack cookie frosting in glass jars.
